This small, traditionally printed and bound chapbook features a short story that takes place after the closing events of the book “Lucy Breaks a Promise”. Lucy and her friends Anona and Charity find themselves in the York gaol, accused of writing and distributing a chapbook containing spicy stories and poems, titled, “The Benefits of Rogering, Explain’d; Beyond the Keyhole, the Door Unhing’d”. They must argue their innocence with the magistrate. This short story is open door.
About the Author
Jessica Fitz loves romance novels, cats, researching primary historical documents, dressing up for reenactments, anything Canadiana - especially Canadian comedy - and idioms that insist on being ridiculous. She wishes we could bring back bonnets, because she’s not friends with the sun. She was inspired to write her own romance stories after the open door scenes had inexplicably been ripped out of almost all of the romance novels in her local library.
